Ok those are kind of ugly. And my oh my way too difficult to put on. When you need a video to put on your shoes it's too much!

Speaking of boots. They can be a big turn off. At the gym I was all ready to fake my injury when I spotted the trainer wearing these silly boots with huge heals. Doc Maartans with enormous eraser heels six inches. It spoke to the generations between us.

  • Penn National Gaming(NASDAQ:PENN)finished Friday up 8.0% alongside a broader surge in casino and gaming stocks. Nearly every stock in the industry finished in the green as lessening Omicron fears caused travel stocks to rebound.
  • JPMorgan believes that the Omicron variant could in fact be "good news" based on initial hospitalization numbers under 1%. Analyst John Invankoe believes that the variant could increase natural immunity responses across the population while only "creating something hardly more than an inconvenience for all but vulnerable populations."
  • In other positive news, Louisiana is expected to give out additional sports betting licenses to Penn National Gaming and others in mid-January. Initial results show strong interest in sports betting in the state, with over $27M in bets placed in the first two months since it was legalized.
  • Sports gambling companies are on pace to make $4B this year. That number could grow dramatically if California voters approve a ballot initiative legalizing the practice next year. In the company's Q3 earnings call, Penn CEO Jay Snowden says that initial polling on the subject "already looks good."

Pauline was a recent friend last ten years or so. My wife and her had a falling out during the dark Trump years and Q'uanon stole her soul and wasted her precious time-- where are they now?

  • Healthcare stocks in the S&P 500 outperformed all other sectors in the broader index with a ~2.5% gain thanks in part to M&A prospects. Healthcare technology, along with names battling the resurgence of COVID-19, led the gainers while the overall index fell ~1.9%.
  • Among stocks with more than $2B market capitalization and 100K average daily volume over the past week, Arena Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ARNA) dominated with a ~83.8% rise after Pfizer (NYSE:PFE) agreed to acquire it in a ~$6.7B deal with 100% premium for the biotech. Cerner (NASDAQ:CERN) also joined the M&A-driven rally to gain ~20.7% over the week amid reports of a potential ~$30B bid from Oracle (NYSE:ORCL) for the electronic-medical-records company.
  • Vaccine developer, Novavax (NASDAQ:NVAX) jumped ~30.5% as investors welcomed the WHO clearance for the company’s COVID-19 shot. Further gains for the Maryland-based biotech are likely when an expert panel of the European regulators is set to review the marketing authorization for the vaccine next week.
  • Biohaven Pharmaceutical (NYSE:BHVN) posted a ~25.2% weekly rise after the company announced the approval for NURTEC ODT (rimegepant) in Israel, making it the first regulatory win for the migraine drug outside the U.S. Meanwhile, Vir Biotechnology (NASDAQ:VIR) surged ~23.7% to stand among best gainers for the second week this month. More data emerged this week confirming the Omicron-neutralizing effect of the company’s COVID-19 therapy developed in partnership with GlaxoSmithKline (NYSE:GSK). Rounding out the top five gainers, Roivant Sciences (NASDAQ:ROIV) added ~22.6%.
  • Notable gainer: Pfizer (PFE) made headlines throughout the week, raising its sales guidance for the COVID-19 vaccine once again as the rapidly spreading Omicron variant highlighted the need for booster shots. Despite an abrupt end to its six-day rally on Friday, the New York-based pharma giant with a ~12.7% rise recorded its best weekly gain since March 2009.

It means he and his cronies are going to be milking this COVID crap for years and years, to maintain their place in the spotlight. Because without it, they have no relevance to the universe.

As for the Greek letter thingy? No, they cannot assign a Greek letter to every mutation. They have to save the few letters that remain for the next magical variant that will appear, by my guesstimation, in September next year. Mark this post. The cycle has been established. COVID forever, by hook or by crook!
