Van- I only say " he did it again" if I own the stock! That's what makes this thread different- I don't celebrate ideas that I didn't act on, they become Losers in my book because I lost out. Very greedy in that way.

Ok we have 4 stocks here. Which one are you recommending?
I mean I realize you're just putting them out there and that's good, but if one of the four jumps 20% this week or the next, try to reel in the "I did it again" diatribe in the absence of a definitive pick. But whatever....

Watch for some volume. Or some news. I am not a scientist! But I feel this Spike Protein maybe is something we have to start working around not playing with and altering...
 
Oh and I'm going to wind up with BCRX because my bro-in-law used to be a huge holder and I got his attention again. BCRX is one of those biotechs that you come to really respect. They should of gone under twice.. I've been onto them for ten years or so... in and out a few times-- It gets good runs and momentum...
 
One last thing I have this scrap of paper-- and it says " Solo Stove " I saw two commercials on TV! This is from that company we recently profiled I'm going to have to go through the pages here maybe Van can short cut that with one of his fancy searches--- But I think the CHRISTMAS GIFT OF THE YEAR MAY BE THE SOLO STOVE!!!

We covered Weber and Trager in the last thread, is that what you're thinking of? I bet Weber has a close version, their product line is pretty expansive.

Yeah, volume and options.

Ya know on Zoom, I should have known something was up. I think it was two trading sessions before their earnings, the stock was at $255ish, I was looking at the option activity on it, and someone sold 300 of $215 calls at the bid. The $215's!!! Deep in the money calls.

Don't hold me to this, I can look it up, but I wanna say they got $48/contract, ie a credit of $1.45M +/- a little.

It wasn't a spread or anything like that. Just a flat out sale. No idea if they owned the shares and it was covered, or if it was just a naked position, but you can't tell me someone didn't know something.
No one does a trade like that unless they know something.

Anyway, back to our biotechs here... its funny you mentioned altering proteins.... we must be on some wavelength Stoney... read the post I just made in another thread.

EDIT: Odd Stoney... I just noticed that post I made in the other thread about modifying viruses and injecting them for attachment to human brain-cells to achieve various outcomes in behavior depending on which cells and which stimuli.... that was exactly my post #20,000.

  • The newly found variant, named Omicron and classified as a "variant of concern" by the World Health Organization (WHO), sparked a selloff in financial markets on Friday and triggered stricter travel restrictions across the globe.
  • Early this month, South African doctor Dr. Angelique Coetzee was concerned over a potential new variant after COVID-19 patients turned up at her private practice in Pretoria with symptoms that did not make sense initially.
  • “Their symptoms were so different and so mild from those I had treated before,” remarked Dr. Coetzee, who is also the chairwoman of the South African Medical Association. None of the patients had experienced a loss of taste or smell, considered as hallmarks of the disease.
  • While there were about two dozen COVID-19 positive cases with symptoms of the new variant, many of the patients were healthy young men who showed up “feeling so tired.” About half of them were unvaccinated, Dr. Coetzee added.

  • Novavax(NASDAQ:NVAX)and Inovio(NASDAQ:INO)say that they have started developing COVID-19 vaccines that would target the recently discovered Omicron variant,Reuters reports.
  • A company spokesperson said that initial work would take a few weeks.
  • Novavax's original COVID vaccine is authorized in Indonesia and the Philippines. The company plans on submitting an Emergency Use Authorization in the U.S. by the end of the year and the European Medicines Agency began evaluating the vaccine earlier this month.
  • Inovio said that it is evaluating whether its vaccine, INO-4800, is effective against the new variant. Testing will take around two weeks.
  • At the same time, the company is working on a new vaccine that is specifically targeting the Omicron variant.
