also, one of my australian penny stocks has completely collapsed. should have sold a while ago and walked away with a small profit--and would have if it was a US stock. i don't know why i trade the aussie ones differently. instead they've been delayed hitting their promised production rate at the new factory and now apparently the new factory has exploded. we're on trading halt, but i imagine this is about the worst case scenario

And it really is, I see these things everywhere already, one has to wonder what will happen when build back better starts trickling in.

quick question- who's trading options and who get's the impression that by buying options we change the course of history? I've got a good idea for a short today, but i feel like every time i load up on options, the shares move in the wrong direction. am i being egotistical, or do market makers really respond to my $10K gamble on a play?

edit: Van's last minute call on RBLX comes to mind and i am considering a 10K position 5 minutes before the close in short-dated options.

edit: as Stoney sometimes does, I'm asking for help! someone talk sense into me here. should i make a 10K short with an expiration on Friday?

Maybe i can help, although i use options more as an ‘investment vehicle’. you want to go short roblox before close with the thesis it will be much lower friday? What is your target?
 
matterport mttr I'm out at 27.33. up about 24% on the day. we'll see how it closes. i'm obv hoping it drops so i can buy back in but probably it does the opposite.

unconventional, i never took a liking to options unfortunately

I'd say depends on the stock. A low volume stock, don't do it.
There's not info to advise you either way.
