Lets talk about Ebay. There is a fashion site called Kith. If you live around NYC you know. Annoyingly hip guy makes good... these guys actually bought the building my wife and I had our store in. These guys send out " Drops " at 11:00 pm and my wife always jumps on an hour late (we have lives- or she does) and sold out sold out sold out. every time every item instantly sold out.
So today Rocky shirts! Really dope Rocky 3 shirt and great white shirt with Rocky at the top of the steps... Every one every size sold out.... I said try Ebay....
And there they were. Got my son a L and didn't really pay that much more....
For the merchant the frustration of real shoppers is outweighed by the look of everything going so fast. It indices FEAR Of Missing out.. a valuable retail tool... So they let it go. And Ebay does not police--more goods on their site.. and so we have Bots buying everything and Ebay winding up with the merch. The fact that the prices are not eye popping tells us this is becoming regular....
