Travel Centers of America unveils new location upgrades, launches "The Kitchen" dining experience

  • Travel Centers of America (TA +3.1%) unveils its nationwide upgrade plan and new travel center design concept at its Seymour, Indiana location, he first of more than 100 travel center refresh projects expected to be completed during the next 18 months. TA will also launch “The Kitchen,” a new fast casual dining experience to be rolled out at select locations nationwide.
  • The travel center design upgrades include renovated restrooms, upgraded showers, comfortable driver lounges and repaved parking lots, along with better lighting and store flow.
  • "The Kitchen" opens at the Seymour location before expanding to other locations and will provide guests with freshly prepared food for sit down dining.
  • The moves are part of TA's transformation plan, which includes a robust capital investment strategy focused on travel center upgrades, reimagined food concepts, and technology improvements.

  • Packaged food stocks are outperformers on more indications that some consumers are stocking up again amid headlines over supply chain disruptions.
  • Some grocery stores have seen intermittent shortages due to issues with transportation, labor shortages and packaging issues. The food shortages are anticipated to be sporadic over certain categories, especially those with pantry-loading appeal.
  • Higher pricing is also helping food-related companies offset inflationary pressures.

  • Enphase Energy (ENPH -2.7%) is headed toward a sizeable miss when it reports Q3 earnings on October 26, Roth Capital analyst Philip Shen says, even while maintaining his Buy rating and $220 price target on the stock.
  • "Heading into Q3, we are concerned about ENPH's ability to deliver a better than expected Q4 guide," Shen writes, citing recent checks that "suggest the company is falling short in meeting customer battery demand in Q3 and Q4, given [California] port congestion."
  • "While some believe the port congestion and supply chain challenges are priced in for ENPH and solar overall, we do not necessarily agree," Shen says, warning the stock could be hit following its recent 30%-plus rally in the event of a weaker than forecast Q3 or Q4 guidance due to battery shipments falling short.

Nelson Peltz on now. He used to live across from my mom in Bedford. My Mom loved him through Snapple and Wendys but when he reported her to the town bcause a beautiful stone wall she had erected was a couple inches too high.. he came over with a ruler.. well you just didn't do that to my Mom....
