Austin Cocktails, maker of a line of canned cocktails, has been purchased by Constellation Brands Inc., a New York-based alcohol company.
Constellation had already invested in Austin Cocktails in 2018, through the Constellation Ventures Focus on Female Founders initiative. Now it has bought out the remainder of the company, according to an April 7 announcement.
Sisters Jill Burns and Kelly Gasink founded the ready-to-drink cocktail business in 2012 and hit shelves in 2014, long before such drinks were widely available.
