GBA Presents: THE BARE ESSENTIALS

-GBA CEMENT WEEK-

GBA Cement Week lol!

Stoney I got sidetracked on another thread. I ended up defending Thor. THO.
I have not looked at it since $90, it's $77 now and that damn thing looks cheap.
Insiders have been buying all month.
There's a $250MM buyback in place, the divy is fat, debt is nil, they're back-logged af on orders.... I mean it doesn't get much cheaper than this.

People are like "yeah but the interest rates and inflation".... pfff. Whatever. That's already priced in.

Have your HF buy some THO for the long haul Stoney.
They have a tangible book value of friggin $55/share!

Read the thread. It's right above this one.

Regarding Under-Armour.... yeah I forget which one of our posters here was in it... maybe Centurian, or Newbie, but I told them a few months back that $14 was a solid level. It's held it pretty well all things considered. Broke $16 once, and on this latest market dip as of yesterday, it closed at $14.35.
The sell-off in March it dipped into the $13's I think. LULU is not a true apples to apples, but I think its holding up well because of them. No earnings date yet, but last year it was early May so it's coming soon I'd imagine. They've beat the last 7 quarters, but they've been hammered because of guidance.
Let's watch what it does this week. If the markets keep falling and it gets below $13, that would seem to be a safe level to get in at. If the markets keep falling next week and it stay's flat down here around $14 for a day or so.... buy it. It'll have $17 in it easy as long as they don't get all negative on the conference call. Which I don't think they will this time around.

I was on UA, but I let it go with a tiny lost for been greedy and didn't let it go when I should (learn my lesson on greediness) on the previous earnings report.

They had a good quarter but the CEO play the Debbie Downer on the conference call regarding the supply chain issue I want to get back in. I will follow @vanzandt your advice on it; will see if it holds $14.

Well.... bear markets can be tough. Everyone is looking around for something to buy, and if history is any guide, those picks are few and far between. So don't get too crazy with anything.
And NEVER use a Stoney pick in a bear market. Make that "quote of the month" going forward when he checks in today with 10 new stock ideas fresh off SA's homepage.

Stoney!!!!!!
The savant shorted WOLF last week.
I wanted $100, I think I'm gonna get it today.
Should I cover or let it keep dropping?
It looks like it might test $94 this week.
