GBA Presents: THE BARE ESSENTIALS

Now I know you and you'll say "Van CMG is too expensive", since for whatever reason the reality that percentage movements in a stock's price levels the playing field where the rubber meets the road is still a foreign concept in StoneyLand, ie a 2% move in 40 shares of PLAY is the same as a 2% move in one share of CMG.

What I do is try and buy the same amount of every stock. 300-500 shares usually over a bunch of accounts. I would just have too much $'s exposed of a really expensive stk.
 
And I don't feel like a loser so much. I said that in a moment of self pity and only in comparison to my wife who was seeing southern sunsets with boozy drinks and my son. While I was left home alone to worry if I had bought too many stocks.

twtr is a far more important platform than WaPo and any other publication. With 200+ mm daily users and direct interactions with users it’s arguably one of the most important mediums of exchange. I‘m glad twtr went with a poison-pill- it’s worth far more than $54.20/share.
 
Snap has earnings this week. I have never ever been on Twitter. Totally don't get it. I just go by the numbers and this thing called Tic Tock is kicking everyone's ass.

Hey and speaking about China.... since you (for whatever reason need 200 or 300 shares of something and ignore the percentages).... my Yum China call was savant as all get out and it's actually pulled back a bit on the lockdowns over there. $41 now.

YUMC is (a Stoney $50 or less).... a VZ winning stock pick for 52 weeks out. :thumbsup:

Hey, Stoney got me out of Railvision recently($2.50) and a couple of miserable biotechs. You two have saved the GBA readers from ugly losses by promoting Value.


I bought NKE $126 on your blessing and ABBV $120s, ADM $60-$88 on Stoney’s, average is now $145, I scaled up after their executive left Tue or Wed(Paid $156.99-$157). Added a little more NKE too. This Market dismissed C and MS good earnings, it’s treacherous!
