Analyst Gray Powell raised his rating on SentinelOne to Buy from Neutral, with a price target of $30. In early trading, the stock was 7.5% higher at $26.70.

Powell said that over the past few weeks, he talked to five large companies about the outlook for the endpoint security market, and found “a clear uptick in discussions,” leaving him “feeling better about the market’s growth potential in 2024 relative to 2023.” Feedback on SentinelOne in particular was consistently positive, he said.

Powell adds that “the recent increase in attack volumes will help drive more demand for the segment.”


The analyst said he sees room for SentinelOne to keep gaining share in all of its core target markets. And he is bullish about the company’s new product initiatives, which include cloud security, data lakes, and the company’s “Purple AI” artificial intelligence-powered software for threat-hunting, analysis, and response.

“With sales execution improving in recent quarters and a more favorable spending outlook, we now have a higher degree of confidence in [SentinelOne’s] ability to meet or exceed street estimates going forward,” he wrote.
