In general we have a classic investing conundrum: When to commit. And when I say commit I mean commit. Once I buy a stock with the HF or Big Pete it's there... I can't call back in a day or two and jump out-- that's not something you do with large dollar buys you have to have your ducks in order and be prepared to commit.

So with my view of a late end of year rally!!! I should buy all these stocks now.

But with my view for a very painful 2nd half of Sept into a bad Oct...

WHAT THE HELL DO I DO. ? These investments are much more stressful for me than anything I do on Etrade which I can just sell at any time and I do.

Not to take anything from the call, but the borrow rate yesterday was 618%. Plus locate fee's. No way to trade it. No options. I doubt Pete's HF did anything with it. Still a good call.

Pete works for a major brokerage not a HF and as such they have gobs of access to unborrowable securities that lay in their accounts. I would imagine they shorted one of their other clients or institutional money who were owning the shares completely unawares... Unfortunately that's how the system actually works.

There was a time when you as a private citizen could somehow send a letter to your brokerage and ask not to have any of your shares lent out. That seems totally gone over the past ten years. Pretty crooked. I hate it.
