When we look back at this time period... what will we say about AI..
Years from now is AI really the biggest story now?
I was talking with my wife about the weight loss drug America is whoofing down.. Ozampia or whatever dumb name.. And I was saying in the big picture this drug is going to have more ramifications, more impact on different parts of the economy than even AI!.
Think about it obesity 40 pounds overweight that may go away. This is going to have a huge effect on the healthcare system. I would think healthier people means less money in the system.
Ok now when you take this pill it stops your want of dink and drugs as well. What's the fun in that?
But as I buy various booze companies I have to be aware that all these hard core drinkers who are fat are now less fat and don't want drink anymore. Even BEER! I heard a guy on the radio this morning big beer drinker taking the drug can hardly finish 1 can now.. the serotonin in his brain has been squashed- and with serotonin comes want of things and enjoyment, want of more and dare I say Sex...
Less Drinking.
Less Drugging
Less Sex.
Less Shopping?
IDEA! Could all of the AI boost in productivity in the economy be wiped out by a fat loss pill?

With a focus on gastrointestinal diseases,Phathom Pharmaceuticals(NASDAQ:PHAT) has been moving aggressively higher. In fact, since March, the stock ran from about $6 to $14.65 and could still see higher highs.
Not only did the U.S. FDA accept the company’s New Drug Application (NDA) resubmission for the treatment of erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), it set a PDUFA date on November 17. As we near that date, we expect PHAT to push even higher. The company does expect to launch the treatment for erosive GERD by the fourth quarter of the year, pending FDA approval.
We also have to consider theglobal market could be worth as much as $5.95 billion by 2030. Plus, about 14% of the global population is dealing with GERD at the moment, or about 1.03 billion people. Analysts at Needham have a Buy rating on the stock, with a $23 price target. The firm also noted,“vonoprazan has the potential to be a best-in-class acid blocker and generate ~$675M U.S. peak sales in Erosive Esophagitis.”
