So if someone was to say just take flyer options on various names risking $2K and then jumping out the moment someone says the market is going down or whales swim the wrong way and you preserve 2/3 of $2K... don't you think I know that game?
For me as a wealth creator and serious investor-- if I buy 300 shares for my son it's $57,000 // when is the last time you invested like that?
Ok If I spread my bet out because it's a van best idea into all of my accounts that's a $285,000 -- You sure as shit better be right.

The Dec $40's on LRN are $4, while the Sept $40's are only $1.55
They're giving you 10% for 4 months.
The flip-side is your basis will be $36 if it drops significantly, which I don't see happening after that report, albeit they said they would not release guidance until next Q.
This stock is great buy for the long haul.
$40 looks like a bull trap at the moment however.
Use a gtc limit order of $39.30

Stoney I understand that, and I somewhat apologize, but you know as well as I do, these tech stocks are volatile af. You and I have the luxury to monitor stuff all day. Most people don't.
And I know you laugh at Jim... but his little bit about "Buy Apple, don't trade it" or NVDA.... I mean he's right when it comes to certain stocks. I think TEAM is one of those stocks.
Now, you can't use what I do as a metric. When I see a stock gap up huge after earnings, thats a great stock, but they always give back some, especially when the tide of the sector is pulling out.
Yeah I closed at $199, because I knew it was gonna drop with the market after a one day 28% pop.
$199 to $190 is nothing in the bigger picture. Nothing goes straight up. You know that.
For your son's account... I am a very strong proponent of selling covered calls in an account like that... with a good stock. That is why I post that for you. Did I make that particular trade? Tbh no... but I offered it up for you because it would put you in TEAM at $182 and change. Will it go below $182... maybe, near term... who knows.... but where will it be 2 years from now? $300 easy with all things being equal.
So yeah, I understand what you're saying, but I am honestly trying to help.

He was just doing his option king shout-out yesterday for the Sept $42's at $1.55, I was just giving him grief as always, because even though it gapped way up, they didn't budge and as the stock dropped they went to $0.60.
