GBA Presents: House of Gummy-!

lol--!!!

These are all Chinese plays and Yes I own two of them// AAOI we gummied and made the same amount you lost holding. If you did I'm confused.

I guess I'll go recap all of Van's ideas if he wants me to. This is such a dumb exercise. The difference is I actually buy stocks.

Van when will you grow up.?

I don't give out many, so make sure you include NVDA ,PLTR, and TSLA too.
Also the legendary SPX call. That one carried all the stocks. :p

I'm just going to guess here on the HF managers-- they have access to short numbers that I do not. They always know exactly how much short-covering is going on and they hold that card close to the vest as an asset. They kind of know where we are going do to that-- I'm just guessing but I bet their advance numbers show a huge covering in lift we had for the first two weeks of June./

When I put my short on after the 15th or so-- I posted June 13 but that was the CPI day it took a few more but right on time the market turned when I did that I was completely free of any of this inside info which I think makes the call that more brave and important. It really came from the gut. And despite the raging bullishness by all those I contact with in the HF community.

I have a feeling (no proof) the inside numbers will show nearly3/4 of the shorts covering and that to the HF world means only one thing.. no more tinder.

Of course the rally was short covering, it feeds itself.

It VALUE WEEK stoney.

As always... your guiding light.

Stoney!

Buy this stock on a pull-back.

Stride
$LRN

It closed at 37.79. They had a great report.
I had never heard of them, off the radar type company.
It's a good one though.
$41 after hours.

Hopefully it'll drop back a little, but I doubt it will after that report.
The company is in the right sector, and it looks like it's very well run.
Books are solid. Based in Reston, VA -- so you know what that means... they like feeding at Uncle Sam's trough, and this is actually a business outside defense that does some good with all that pork.
Great sector to be in going forward.

Check em out.

Rare "VZ STRONG UPGRADE"

LRN
More...
It hit $45 and then pulled back.
$43.12 now.
Up 14%

---> You're welcome Stoney!!! :p

new feature ' Grade Van's Tirade '

Yes of course I am welcome so how did I make out:?

LRN is $38. Yup. Worse than a round trip.

So $43-------------------> $38 and along time holding. GRADE VANS TIRADE = D-

Nice try though

OK....
Some more on SNAP as I have been doing more digging.

Here's a potential problem.

They held off instituting a bunch of changes in Q4 so as not to disrupt the system during their advertisers' most important quarter. IE, leave well enough alone for now, but we know we can improve, so all these things we've been working on, they get rolling in Q1.

Uh-huh.
As in "unproven" things?
>>>That worries me.

Many of these changes center around better optimization of ML, customer conversion, etc. A lot of behind the scenes stuff. This could be a big headwind for this quarter's numbers imo. The analysts are gonna focus on how these changes are working. I think it'll be too early to definitively tell.

There's one more thing... they had an invite only investor meeting on Feb 16th at their HQ. Within 2.5 days, the stock went from $11.20 to $9.80 ish. A 10% drop while the QQQ's had a relatively normal .8% drop.

But if you look at a 5 minute chart, you'll see that drop started at would I would assume was the actual end of that meeting. IE 2:20PM est, 11:20 Pacific. Apparently some analysts/investors there didn't like what they heard and couldn't get on their phones fast enough. Speculation my part I guess, but that's what it looks like to me looking at that chart. But I wasn't there.

There has also been some large blocks of put buying at the ask over the last week. I don't like that either.

In a nutshell, for anyone reading this... proceed with caution. This might be another one of those quarters that does not impress. That $8.20 lower limit.... after my last 2 hours of DD into the obscure things no one else looks at... could easily happen.

It's $10.40 now. Nice run from $10 earlier I guess... but if anyone is playing it, I'd take some off before the close.
jmho
