HE'S DONE IT AGAIN!!!
Good Morning Readers!
We chose to let the usual morning gibberish on our thread here play itself out before giving you your monthly update.
As written on May 30th, June and July soared, the first half of August soared, and now as we wrap August up, tech looks to be closing below the July close.
ANOTHER 100% PERFECT CALL! ALL FOR FREE
As we head into September, I suspect we'll see a range in the first two weeks. As I wrote several weeks ago, September 13th will be a key date to watch. July and August 2022 housing numbers will fall off the moving average for the CPI, that should bode well for the "data dependent" Mr. Powell and perhaps once again take an edge off the tone in his remarks the following week.
While energy remains strong, also as predicted, for now Powell should ignore it.
Many "experts" are now joining the VZ bandwagon and postulating the chance that 2023 could close lower than 2022. When I wrote that in April of this year, it was based on the student loan payments coming due this Fall. How that plays out remains to be seen.
For now.... the market should grind, perhaps climbing the wall of worry slightly, into the second week of September.
Of note:
There will be a Super Blue Moon tonight and tomorrow. The last one occurred in 2009, and for the most part, the Nasdaq commenced it's meteoric rise on that date... and it has never looked back.
After tomorrow, the next Super Blue Moon will be 2037.
