I have a meeting today about my stopping store theft ideas and I might bring up Knightscope... not that these robots can stop a marauding crowd of thieves but... it's worth a shot.
Target employee stocking personal hygiene items in new locked security shelving, Target, Queens, New York.
These locked compartments are annoying you wait around forever to have them opened. My system your phone takes a pic through the glass and your item appears at the cash register.
The secrete sauce to my system is we only allow Apple and high end phones and because of that we get all the info from the phone who owns it the IP addresses it communicates to, the geo locations where it is at night EVERYTHING!!!!
We essentially grill you like a Detective would- just virtually as you happily point your phone at shampoo.
Clever eh?
No high end phone? No problem please use our store smart goggles and enjoy your time with our Robot friend who will trail you providing real time video to store employees.

I might Shark Tank this idea!
