On April 13, Knightscope, Inc. (NASDAQ:KSCP) signed a monumental deal with the New York Police Department that will see its K5 robot patrolling this summer at Times Square or a Manhattan subway station.11
Knightscope’s technology has already been successfully deployed by other police departments including one Los Angeles County agency that is praising the company for reducing crime in a popular park.
“Technology is here, and we cannot be afraid of it,” said New York City Mayor Eric Adams. “We are scanning the globe on finding technology that will ensure this city is safe for New Yorkers, visitors, and whomever is here. If we were not willing to move forward and use technology on how to properly keep cities safe, then you will not keep up with those who are doing harmful things to hurt New Yorkers.”
Thanks to the endless contracts coming in, the company expects to achieve a combined annualized revenue run rate between $12 million to $14 million.

Alibaba co-founder Jack Ma and current CEO and chairman Daniel Zhang Yong appeared together at the office of Alibaba Cloud, which Zhang also heads. In photos and videos of the event, the two smiled while chatting over drinks and walking through the company's campus. California Attorney General Rob Bonta is gathering a squad of sorts to fight organized retail theft.
Bonta announced yesterday (June 20) a new partnership between the Justice Department and more than a dozen retailers and online marketplaces. Together, they committed to help in the “detection and prosecution” of large-scale theft and fraud by individuals or groups that steal goods from brick-and-mortar stores and or the retail supply chain.
