Gateway and mobile app

I am considering opening an account with IB, again. It's been a while.

If I'm running the gateway with a front end like Ninja, can I log into the same account the gateway is logged into with IBKR Mobile and not have an issue with the gateway being dropped? Or do I need a second account, pay an additional fee, etc.?

This kind of thing is an issue for me with TS. If the desktop is running, and I log in to the mobile app, it boots the desktop off. TDA allows for API and app access. I am curious about IB.

IB has gone awfully quiet. @def do you still work with IB? Is IB on the way of going under? Hardly any replies the past few weeks...

Yes but one of the sessions will stop. IIRC 1 acct user can be logged in at any given time.

Under my personal account I have 2 users. I use 1 from my mobile and the other for the trading system.

Please note data subscription won't be shared across the 2 (in fact I accept lagged records on the acct I use on my mobile device)
