I don't know anyone making $0 to $5K/Day trading ES or NQ. But I know three groups making >$5K/Day.

The point I am trying to make is that I simply do not know any "small time" ES or NQ traders! Doesn't mean they don't exist, I just don't know of any.

For these people, $5K a day is _really_ dissapointing.

Do you understand?

BTW, in a way, perhaps this is what the challenge is about. Perhaps what the man means to say is that there are no _small_ winning ES or NQ traders for three years straight, or that they are very rare, much rarer than three year profitable small time equities traders. _This_ statement I believe, though I have no direct proof.

You spent an aweful lot of time prying for someone who "doesn't care" and you seem to have read every word like a lawyer getting ready for a trial :eek: Also, you _are_ interested in the original conjecture Seems like you are more interested in knowing that there are no winning small ES traders than that there are. As to my "new interpretation," if you couldn't interpret what I was saying while "jibber jabbing," you would not understand the "new interpretation" either, as it requires an understanding of the statement above it [the "jibber jabbing" part, in case you don't understand this jibber jabber ]

But to leave pitty squabbling aside, there is a great deal to be learned from _why_ it "might" be true that it is much harder to see small time winning ES/NQ traders than the equivalent small time equity traders, and therein lies a great insite.

No it's not a quote from The Stranger. I believe it was from the book "Essays; and the Myth of Sysiphus", but I might be mistaken -- it's been awhile.
