Gap Plays

Played the gap up on Ebay this morning. Long 400 shares at 40.29 @ 09:36:29, sold at 40.97 @ 09:40:55.

Total $272 - commissions $26 = total $246

I got a little worried, I had some computer problems in the middle of the trade. My trading platform froze up a couple times. I talked to support and they said my internet connection cant handle the high volume. Something I need to watch out for because if this went the other way, I would have been SOL trying to get out of the position.
 
Good play. Always have a back up. I use cable internet for my primary at home coonection. My back up is netzero.com 10 free hours of dial up.

Played the gap down on OSIP. Gapped down on news about buying out EYET. Shorted at bottom of 5 minute bar, stopped out for a $1 gain. This has to be my best exit ever, my short got covered 1 penny above the low of the day so far. Probably just luck or coincidence but I'll take it.
 
From the low of the day up until a little while ago. I had a buy stop at 31.81 and got filled. The price dropped to 31.80 and then rebounded a little. I thought it was neat to get out at almost the absolute bottom.

Just an arbitrary price target of a $1 from my entry. That's why I was saying it was just luck/coincidence that it was almost an absolute bottom.
