FreeCell is a good game for checking mental status since it's more cognitive compared to a game where you mindlessly shoot non stop at moving targetsQuote from jnbadger:
I don't think it's silly at all. I think many of us have been doing this for so long, it just feels natural being at our desk. And we may think we are focused, but realize we really aren't when the decisions need to be made.
It's best to find that out with a game of freecell or something and make mental adjustments well before your market opens.
I've had days where I've traded non stop for 6-1/2 hours w/o pause ('08-'09) and more recently, days where it's like watching paint dry. I set my price alerts and when ultra slow, I spend a bit of time each day learning Spanish. I don't know if it will get me anywhere but I have a few Spanish friends and I think it would be amusing to eavesdrop.
