GAIN Trader (Stonex)

Does anybody here use GAIN Trader platform? If so do you ever experience issues with quotes? Usually happens after restart with certain symbols ... before the restart some of those symbols work some not :-)
Stonex support suggest it is only mine isolated issue but tried multiple different PCs (different IPs, Windows, hardware) and it is the same across all. I do not have data for ICE tickers but all CME tickers should work

It's time for me to downgrade StoneX, and use it as a backup platform;

there are simply far too many problems (horrific lag problems,
workspace simply cannot be saved / workspace keeps on rearranging itself, platform consuming tons of CPU power,
blank ladder / ladder with no steps ....).

The good thing about StoneX is that it shows when the data is UPDATED.
so you will know how horrific the lag problem is.

The problem is solved: Stonex has changed the max number of QuoteBoard tickers allowed from 50 to 100
Now they even introduced delayed ICE data for those who are not subscribed for live data

So far so good, CPU usage low, workspace saving good
Recently I also had a bug with platform freezing when DOM is linked to QuoteBoard and I click on a various tickers on QB which seems to be resolved in the latest version
For swing / position trading it all suffices for me

Good for you mister.

A few years ago, StoneX also increased my Quoteboard tickers.
It didn't fix the above problems.

I just made a MAJOR discovery;
On the quoteboard, make sure there are no empty rows.
If there is an empty row, the workspace CANNOT be saved no matter
how you save it.



Luckily you are not doing day trading.
so the lag issue is not a big issue for you.

There are some other problems with the platform.
I didn't hilite it as the above are the major ones.

After 1 month of evaluation,
100% confirmed Workspace can now be SAVED.

To make it unsavable no matter how hard to try to save it,
just create empty rows.

I wouldn't contact them anymore.

I GOOGLED about this unsavable workspace problem.
Interestingly, other platforms also had similar problems.
