Gabfly is Dead

You must be thinking of Edmonton, Calgary isnt just "flat northern plains" It is one of the most beautiful cities in Canada, mountain view in the background, and its only about an hour from Banff, and lake louise and sunshine, 2 of the nicest skiing mountains in north america.

Quote from 377OHMS:

How the hell can you live there? One has to balance making money with having some fun and there isn't any fun there that I can perceive. Just the flat northern plains and cold as hell. Yuck. I guess you probably go up to Banff etc in the summer. Got a cabin up there?

Do you really think I don't know what town I fly into?

I dunno, you described it as "flat northern plains" so since Calgary is basically the polar opposite of that i just assumed you had never been there, no need to get testy. :D

Calgary is a choice. My business compels me to live in Houston, Wyoming, or Alberta. If there's little to do in Calgary (I agree with that, btw), there's even less to do in WY. As for Houston, it stinks there, literally.

I enjoyed the socal life for a time, I was stationed there in the late '70s early '80s. Ahh, those beaches, a motorcycle, no helmet law, it was heaven.

Yeah, Houston is an awful place to live. Agree totally.

And Wyoming, well...nothing is as ugly as a Wyoming town in winter. Nothing.

Sometimes we have to go where the work is.

For me sometimes that is a launch platform parked on the equator at 154-deg West in the middle of the Pacific, sometimes Fr. Guiana, sometimes it is the Ba****ur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, but sometimes it is Cocoa Beach which I absolutely love LOL. :D

Not sure why ET censors the word Ba****ur eheh. wtf?

He's still pissed at you because you showed support for Ron Paul. Now, you are part of the "lunatic fringe".

You are right, i was wrong, i stuck up for 377OHMS, I clearly read him wrong, he is either a neocon, or a liberal, he has now said he would vote for Obama over Ron Paul.

Aha, this explains your brain damage. You wrecked your bike.

If Vegas isn't close enough for you I usually get to Jackson Hole, WY
once a year.
