AAPL earnings this Monday January 27. You have the weekend to think about what to do. I'm thinking of weekly Jan31 calls a few strikes OTM in the $3.00 range, purchased at about 3:30 PM EST on Monday.
It's always a gamble unless you have insider information.
I do have insider information. I was inside the mall today and the Mac Store was packed.
EDIT: Jan31 595.00 Calls at $2.56 look good. Depends on what happens Monday.

Yeah, 1 apple store being packed is redundant. Best buy was packed and the stock dived 20% in Q4.
You need more information than that to make a good bet.
Such as:
Icahn is in it.
It's a value play with 14 PE ratio.
It's been up 30%+ in the past 6 months.
Still a gamble.
Wrong .......... Best Buy was not packed, maybe in the distant past they might have been packed but not now.
All noise.
You should see how AAPL is impacted by China's potential credit crisis before you buy any call options, just saying.
UPDATE:
AAPL at 548.65. The Jan31 585.00 Calls are now within my price range at $3.15. Holding off till Monday.
