Your most recent version of the "Trading Station" is completely unstable. How do I rollback to the previous version.

Every start of the application causes it to crash, it then automatically reloads successfully. This continues for about 10 starts, after which it won't load at all and I have to do a complete reinstall. And the process starts all over again. 4 reinstalls so far.

Second time today that I need to completely reinstall the trading station. No replies to my emails.

Rolling back my computer to a Dec. 31 restore point. Maybe it is a windows compatibility issue.

Rollback completed. Updates reinstalled. Back to the same problem. Crashing continues.

Can't listen to video right now, but I'm really surprised. FXCM has been great up to this point.

Thanks for letting us know. If the platform is not starting successfully on your computer, please follow the uninstall instructions found here http://forexforums.dailyfx.com/fxcm...fxcm-trading-station-ii-faq-7.html#post575810 . This will remove the Trading Station file from your registry before you reinstall. If you need additional help, please contact live chat support or email techsupport@fxcm.com. You can also cc me on the email at jrogers@fxcm.com

That final step with the registry is not something I have tried or was aware of. I'll give it a shot now.

update: candlework reg. entry and folder doesn't exist.

I'll try to email again. I actually shifted over to the Strategy Trader in the meantime. Maybe this is the motivation I needed to get busy coding my strategy into it. :D

update2: No registry change possible as shown in uninstall instructions, but so far new install is working!!!

Good to hear the new install is working. Just before careful when going through the registry. Guess I should have said that in my first post :)

Awww, shucks, no, now DOUBLE clicking on a news item causes an exception ... but not always. Very strange.

I'll try and see if I can figure out the pattern of the error for you. Takes me back 15 years ago when I was working as a tester. Then I worked as a programmer and I cursed those damn testers for returning work to me that I thought was perfect. :D

However, it is now starting perfectly, every time.
