Is it possible for a retail trader to learn to be good at currency options trading even if it takes years? I'm so much interested in FX options and I'm willing to put all my effort into it.

Not a very good market liquidity wise. Go for equity/index futures options if you want options or just the FX market itself (spot or futures) if you want FX.

LOL, how did you come to that conclusion? FX options are one of the most liquid vol markets out there, comparable only to equity index vol.

yes you can be good in fx options as long as you put in the effort

if yes, then options can help you to manage your risk better
