Although CME is a "monopoly" not just on FX futures but also on US bond and US equity futures, it is the best and most stable futures exchange out there. I have had horror stories on Eurex when I used to trade the Dax and Eurostox with volatility stops happening quite often back in the day. Seen a few where the market would move miles before it came back. Not ideal
"Volatility stops" or "volatile stops"? What do you expect when a large player is being bombed out of his wrong-sided positions? In the good, old Mini S&P days, there were also 15-25k sweep orders which terminated resistance points or support points easily. Doesn´t happen anymore that way. The boyz are more into "slicing and dicing" nowadays. But hey, who cares if you can make 10 big points within minutes?
