Futures vs. Stocks

What would you prefer in terms of day- or short term trading ?

Please, give a brief explanation or example of the pros and cons.

I know everybody has its favorite market place, but I mean, you should have decided at the onset of your trading career, which market to trade and of coz why maybe others not to trade ?

Maybe somebody is trading in all kind of markets or splits it like e.g. , day trading futures, short term trading (over night holding) in stocks, options, fx, etc.

I guess it all depends on the person. For my current situation, I will not be able to sit in front of the computer all day, and I may only be able to trade during the evening. This will make it difficult for me to daytrade equities. I may be switched to different shifts back and forth, so currencies will be the best solution for me because it's open 24 hours a day.

Another thing that favors me towards FX is the increased leverage. Liquidity is great, commission free, and there's lots of opportunities in this market, in my opinion.
