1) That's not "variance". If the NYSE were open, The DJIA would be trading equally lower.
2) The Fed, PPT and GS are setting up the market for an April Fool's reversal. :cool:

It isn't a variance when one of them is closed. That is like asking, "why is the market lower than it was 3 hours ago? That is what he was trying to tell you. But you don't seem to get it...
