So did you go long CL at the moment you got the signal? When did you get the CL signal, based on what time interval compared to equity indices?

Seems like a good day... you never let it run past the target with a trailing stop at the target? ES would've given an extra 10 points.

Yes - I went long as soon as I got the signal. Please clarify what you mean regarding the comparison on the CL and equity time intervals. I'm not sure I understand.

Regarding letting the trade run past the profit target, we have found through developing the algo that 70% of the time, prices reverse near the profit target. So with regard to this particular system, we take profits at the level. A good example is yesterday, when we hit our long target in the CLV trade. Price did go lower afterwards.

If however you were adding discretion to this system and trading multiple lots, you could theoretically take most off at the algo profit target and trail the rest.
