There are about 30 in Chicago.

yea I would like to know about prop firms too besides Patak.

there I can trade trying to use their guidelines but get to keep all the profits for myself

Do they require a deposit or will they test you out with one contract for a month?

I do not know of any here in Chicago that would let a newbie trade futures remotely. I do know experienced futures traders with established track records at firms who have been allowed to trade remotely, but it's not common. The typical Chicago prop futures business model has capitalization provided entirely by the firm.

Have a prepared strategy that makes sense before you approach one of these firms. I have clients who already trade at some of them, and I have clients who occasionally choose to go there - usually in Chicago, NYC, London, Singapore, Sydney, or Gibraltar.
