futures options, what do the cost?

i was looking at the call option for oil and it was quoted at 3$. so is that 300$ for the option , 3000$ what? a oil future contract is 10$ for every penny move , the option must cost alot. where do u find info on futures options cost and where to find info on option volume for futures? thanks

The crude oil contract is for 1000 barrels. So that $3 option will cost you $3000.

All info regarding a particular contract can be found under contract specifications on the respective exchange.
