AMP is okay if you're small and don't do a lot of contracts. Advantage is a good one if you're a little better capitalized and prepared to pay more for technology. RCG is out of my league but is probably the next rung on the ladder. One big consideration often overlooked by people who are new is SPAN treatment. If you're big enough you should consider multiple FCMs as it's good to lower risk and compartmentalize certain aspects of trading/professional relationships.

I use IB and thought it was pretty decent, I am interested in the problems you encountered with them (if other than commission costs) ?

I found different in the ES price between IB and other broker. I think that IB is good broker for stock but not for FUT.

You may want to look at the financial situation for AMP. Not saying that its not safe, but AMP's net capital is much smaller than your average FCM.
