Futures Broker & Platform Recommendation

Yea sign up with AMP, they are the best for online.

If you want some1 to have a friendly chat about the markets each day they go somewhere else.

Your trading 8 contracts and want a free platform? Expect a sub rate data feed and a limited platform & support. Full on traders typically dish out $50-$200 monthly to get a high performance platform. If I was starting from scratch I may check out the guys here providing services.

  • A platform that doesn't charge more than $2 for a round trade per contract (not including NFA fees, etc)
  • Fast support to get me out of a trade in case internet/computer goes out. Someone that is on standby at the brokerage that can pick up my call in less than 3 rings 24 hours a day, and a broker where I don't have to go through a menu option to speak to someone directly.
  • Bracket Orders for stop loss/profit
  • No monthly charges or platform lease fees, or lifetime membership costs for standard features. I'm fine with inactivity fees as I will trade daily
  • A drag and drop feature, where I can change buy/sell orders to different levels
  • A light platform that isn't clunky like ThinkOrSwim
  • A reliable and stable platform that doesn't freeze up when the market gets volatile
  • The ability to have the DOM always on top, so that if I open up my browser while I'm in a trade, the browser won't cover up the DOM, but rather, the DOM will always be on top of any window or application that I open.

After reading your criteria, I would recommend Multicharts (NET)
It is Free via AMP. The office has 24 support, and you just have to tell them over which technology you execute over in case of malfunction. Bracket Orders are supported and their DOM has predetermined strategies you can define. You can use CQG or Rithmic technology for order routing.
We clear via AMP, and would be happy to assist you.

Who said I was trading 8 contracts? I said when I put in an order of 10 contracts (as in 1 order of 10 contracts), things get a little shaky on Transact.

Will look into it. Thank you
