Fur vs Hair

Ok, this has been driving me nuts for a bit now. Any of you science people, maybe a little help. Scientifically what is the differnce between "hair" (ie people, horses, rats etc) and "Fur" ie Racoons, Minks, etc)

I had this brilliant Idea today. There is this site called excellent adventures, and one of the things they offer is that you can fly to Moscow for a week and actually get to fly a Soviet Mig 29 with some of the top pilots at the design bureau. Anyway, Toni first tried to tell me "Your not spending your money on that", so I said fine, If someone wants to pay for me to go, Ill give you lifetime membership to the site, let you come to my office and watch me trade for two weeks, and enroll you in my mentor program. I thought I had a good thing going, but she told me that I cant spend anyone's money on it, coz she is afraid when I drive, and would panic knowing I was flying at Mach 2.
