Funniest thing ever seen at a prop firm

I saw a guy pick his nose and flick it on a guys screen next to him while the guy was trying to concentrate on a huge position.

It was actaully not even funny. It was sick!!!

How about the head of the group pestering you to turn around and look while you're trading and eventually yelling at you to do it NOW or you're FIRED just to have him fart in your face.
No, didn't happen to me but very close. He ran out by the time he got to me but he did get it off on a couple of guys. The expressions were hilarious.
We also used to start throwing paper balls at each other but "secretly" across the monitors so that noone could be blamed for sure. Eventually that got boring cause it's hard to be accurate and have power behind it so we turned toward doing a team attack at the count of three. Ahh just like kindergarden.

I remember the Paris Hilton video being watched during lunch and pre/after market hours at the 57th and Lex office a lot. Also that porno made by some Croatian pop star, the guy next to me, his friend and I watched it together right before open.

I kinda miss the excitement, my current office is VERY professional in comparison. I think the most goofy things happening is like the traders slamming the keyboards or cracking on each other and the CNBC monkeys. That and the bitching, particularly me with comments like "Yes that is EXACTLY why I press cancel so that you can fill me at the worst price, you dick".

The conference room on the floor does have chair with "mysterious" white stains all over them. Hear a lot of whacky things happened in that room so don't sit in the chairs.
 
asking someone elses clerk on their first day to 'go and get the closing prices for today' was often fun.

the clerk would run round asking a few others what that meant and where they could get the closing prices from. obviously who ever they asked knew it was a send up, so they played along. they would often be told that 'that guy over them has them' - pointing to either the nastiest looking mf'er in the pit, or the biggest trader on the floor.

seeing the poor clerk run round red faced after being told to f' off countless times was many a good kodak moment.

We had a new guy fresh out of school join us on the FX Sales Desk at a well known Investment Bank and we were looking to give him some time on the phones......... at the time there were clients in visiting w/ some of the other sales guys....the newbie shouts over to the dealers "Hey Guys we have some clients in so NO NAMES......" a faint "yeah" is heard from the Majors Desk .....when the newbie yells back "Now price in 25 dollar Mark for Soros" the room erupted in laughter all the way from the dealers to the custy's on the phone......
 
Some of you Eurodollar guys probably remember this. I think the guys badge was FOE..or FO. Big black poofy hair. Anyway, he got choked on an Altoid in the middle of the pit and passed out on the floor. The floor paramedics and a bunch of people gathered round. The whole floor was watching at this point. I guess the Altoid became dislodged and he sat up real quick..sort of a reaction and started to cough. The whole place erupted in applause. Like three seconds later he went back down and all you could hear was BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. I mean I thought the guy was gonna die right there and everyone boos? the guy eventually got up and of refused any treatment from the paramedics out of pure embarrassment. That pit could get loud and I had never heard it louder than when he went back down. i used to love it when someone whould get sharked..the whole place would join in with..SSHHHAARRRKKK. I miss that place. jim
