Fundamental value of Bitcoin

And as if the dollar* has never been counterfeited. And never used for illegal activity. And that hasn't lost 97% in value over the last 100 years.

Who cares that it has lost 97% of it's value over 100 years time? Most people have debts... debts and real assets... do you honestly think that they should be pissed off that the dollar has lost it's value due to real inflation? I think you need some lessons in monetary economics my friend.

The only reason people complain about the so-called loss of value, is because a loaf of bread now costs more than it did when they were 10 years old...

I've said it before and will again, bitcoin will be a deflationary currency if it's widely accepted... why? Because people want to hold it rather than spend it... which will create a liquidity crunch (and is now as well) and will be creating debt-averse situations, creating more liquidity issues and a big slow down in consumption... Guess where that will end up?

At one time, the dollar was backed by something........... other than the govt's word.

Irregardless that is what your argument said. Stop bitching about the dollar and start talking up the advantages of your ponzi. So what is so great about Ethereum? :)
