That was in 2020 when there were no vaccines.
We're now in 2021 with something called the Delta Variant. The average age of those dying are
49 years of age, less obese, and stories often by family members...the person was healthy.
- The average age of those fully vaccinated and hospitalized, ICU admission or Death is 64 years of age.
My brother is a Doctor in South Dakota... the average age of severe Covid patients is about
47 years of age.
My sister is a ICU nurse in Illinois... the average age of severe Covid patients is about
45 years of age.
My girlfriend and ICU nurse here in Québec, Canada... the average age of severe Covid patients is
41 years of age. This month, three high school athletes from different secondary schools...track n field athlete, gymnast, and soccer player...that's about the average per month the past few months.
- Last year alone, my girlfriend only treated one person under 15 years of age.
My point, the
older people are more likely to be vaccinated here in 2021 due to lingering fear from 2020. That may be why the average age of those needing Hospitalization, ICU admission, or Death are younger adults or children because these individuals are more likely to be not vaccinated. Seriously, you were young once...we all thought we were invincible, immortal like...stay away from guns, drugs, and bad people...we'll be safe...spend our time doing homework and having fun.

Wake up and stop being intentionally ignorant. Read your local newspaper, talk to Doctors / Nurses at your local children's hospital... it's getting bad out there for younger adults and children. Seriously, in 2020 we didn't have stories about Covid patients filling up children's hospitals.
It's now 2021 and the story is becoming more and more common with children being hospitalized and a lot of hospitals are now nearing their capacity.
I don't know how old you are but it's a safe assumption you are not a child. Many parents are doing the smart thing in protecting their children by getting vaccinated. That's an excellent way to protect these young children via surrounding them with people that are vaccinated.
Just as important, if you know a young child that was hospitalized with Covid (I know a few)...make sure they have a complete physical with blood chemistry test to ensure they do not have any lingering problems especially if your child is an athlete. Also, make sure you notify the school's nurse office and administration that your child has recovered from Covid and may have some long-haulers side effects.
We had a kid here (Covid hospitalized patient early in the summer)...fainted at school on her first day of school...anxiety issues that she will catch Covid again (not likely anytime soon).
I don't know where you're at. Take the time and contact your state's Department of Public Health to be directed to a link about the Children's Hospitals. You can then see statistics of your state Hospitalization, ICU capacity, and other info like that.
Regardless, you were all warned about this multiple times last year that if a Variant of Concern comes along...it may become more dangerous for younger adults and children. People like you didn't listen and still continue fighting the growing statistics.
Here's a warning again, the next Variant of Concern, may be more precision in targeting children considering those under the age of 12 can not be vaccinated. If that happens, I'm 100% positive that there will be people like you that will be using statistics from 2020...
Only Obese and Elderly people get sick.
We warned people like you last year...when our children start getting Hospitalized, ICU admission and Death...you will then panic, become more angry and spout out statistics from 2020 as if it will never change.
You Reap What You Sow
P.S. I hope you're not raising a family in the South. If you residing in the South, you can help to protect your children by getting vaccinated even if your child can not be vaccinated.
