Maybe the 3 losses and done for the day rule was a good idea. Your system may have been telling you that current market conditions are not good for your setup; therefore, take the day off.
 
K-rock, quite possibly.. maybe the 3 loss rule is a good thing, because now i'm just getting all beat up and loosing faith in this sytem and wondering if it has any edge at all...
 
I ended up losing -$79 today...... but i'm very disapointed in my performance, not just becuae my system was giving bad signals but the way I started disregarding some rules at the end....

Its hard to shake the feeling of my system being garbage after a day like this.. hopefully I can restore my confidence and get some good signals on monday....
 
Kinda scared to post here seeing as my trades have been going well past few days, dont wanna jinx it... Made $30 monday, $47 yesterday, and I am currently up $224 on the day.. funny thing is 80% of my trades today have been to the short side.... so i'm happy with the performance... hope this doenst jinx it...

Frost - all systems go thru this. Either stick with it thru good and bad - like a marriage - or jump to something new all the time - like a prostitute. :)
 
Well after the several weeks since I started this journal, I am now back to about the same amount I had when I first started this journal... cant complain however, considering how much I went down at one point. Its all a learning experience.... and just being about even at this point makes me happy... hopefully I can continue to get better and eventually make it to the ranks of net positive......

How have you been doing following your plan the last few weeks?
 
I have been doing ok... I still fall into the trap of not always following my stops... this is a hard one to shake.... other than that, I am up about +$350 or so over the past 2 weeks... got a lot of learning to go... Also I have recently started experimenting with trading 2 contracts instead of just one.. I like the freedom it gives me... but at the same time I have had some BIG losses when I have had 2 contracts and didnt follow thorugh on a stop.... but am up over past 2 weeks so I keep taking it in stride for now..
 
I am now finally back over $7,000 for the first time Since the day my bot had a big blow up and I had a big blow up in the same day.........Hopefully this doesnt jinx myself.... been doing fairly well.... I hope it keeps up, I have anotehr $4,500 to get back to even all time... but thats an amount I havent been to in well over a year.... cant wait for that day....
