FRM(Financial Risk Manager) Exam and Designation

Does anyone have this FRM certificate?

How tough was the exam?

They show only about a 51% pass rate.

The Financial Risk Manager (FRM®) exam, launched in 1997, is recognized as the world's most prestigious global certification program for Financial Risk Managers. The FRM measures a candidate's ability to dynamically manage financial risk in real-world settings.

How does this compare to a CFA?

Are they comparable?

Is this something you would put on your resume?

Would it help in making it in a hedge fund?

Just wanted to bump this to see if there are any opinions out there.

Seems to be a few new designations making the rounds, this being one of them.

This one would seem to be a hell of alot more useful in the trading/hedge fund world than the CFA.

One of the guys I work with has the FRM and writes study materials for this designation. If you want to e-mail me, I'll see if I can get more info for you. He's having a baby today so it may take a little while for me to get you more info.

It was a LOT more difficult and quantitative than CFA but I passed.
