I guess I overstated the number of jewish casualties in France, it was "only" 15% of the civilian casualties. This is of course assuming that the number of French casualties posted on the website is correct to begin with. According to the website the numbers were very different in two different sources they used and they published the highest estimates.

What about the other part of my post though, that the quality of the army is measured by the number of enemy troops it destroys, as opposed to the number of its casualties. Do you still disagree that the french army was (and is ) a joke?

I do not even want to discuss the absurdity of this claim but you are changing subjects again. I thought you wanted to prove that the french army is not a joke. I do not really see how your argument above helps.

Then again I can see your point of view, the french army may indeed appear to be a formidable military force... if you compare it to the swiss guard.
