used to download using peer-to-peer 8 years ago, recently have been paying for downloads.

just wondering what are some "common" ways to download free (virus-free too) music nowadays?

If I need something, I go to youtube and use a browser plug-in to download, then convert to mp3. Maybe a little much for some, but works for me.
 
Too great of a risk to do that today.
You're better off just paying for the files you want. Wal-Mart used to have a good, cheap download site.

I saw a line in a movie where a guy pays big bucks to get his computer fixed. As the clerk is giving it back he says "And remember, there's no such thing as free porn". I guess you could change the word porn to music.
