Just to clarify...the $39 is ONLY if you want to actually generate trades or place live trades on the chart? As long as you're not doing that, you can still program c# strategies/indicators, etc?

Correct, "MultiCharts .NET for TWS" will continue to function just fine, but if you want to place trades it will be $39/month.
 
I love the new addition of multicharts for TWS. Being able to launch from TWS and no configuration is great. And the ability to add complex orders easily is Amazing.. I have no problems paying $40 a month for this, But Can i Add a Esignal Data Feed to this version of Multicharts or do i have to get the actual version from Multicharts? I already use esignal and would love to be able to use it since i get alot of pacing violation with TWS connection..

That's the double edged sword... fewer configurations means fewer options and vice versa. The "MultiCharts for TWS" currently has only one feed, and that's IB, and only one broker, and that's IB too. Sets up automatically, but no option for eSignal or any other feed.

If you want the ability to use different feeds and trade through IB, you should consider the full version of MultiCharts. Here's a link to a free 30 day trial of the full version - http://www.multicharts.com/free-trading-software/
 
While the charts are light years ahead of those in TWS, there is too often a time lag.
For example, running MC next to TWS charts for NK225MM4, MC often lags by 1 to 5 seconds.

We display updates as soon as they come through the API... We'll show your question to them.
 
Thanks for the help in answering this. I will stick with the IB version of multicharts for now, but may upgrade later this year.

Does IB offer the use choice of the non .NET version of MultiCharts as an option for integration with IB's TWS?
