I am currently a paying customer (and satisfied) on my 6th month. When I was about to renew my subscription I found that Softinvestor has recently been released in a free edition (http://www.softinvestor.com/free).

It's worth a shot before renewing. I'll get back to you guys.
 
I finally found the time to have a look at the free edition.

It looks more or less like the original Softinvestor program. Even though I would still prefer the original version when doing technical analysis my self, I must admit that it seems very sueded for those new to technical analysis or those using fundamental analysis.

The free edition is actually a part of the original software. The direction it advises on short and long term is based on automatically optimized moving averages - posting signals and directions at the click of a button.

You can still analyze +20k stocks.

Overall: Excellent for timing trading when complimented with fundamental analysis.
