Free automated trading platform, for IB

The system made 1 trade and lost $30 today...... good news is the actual automation part didnt glitch at all, everything worked normally.... not really that concerned with teh actual PL as that is only a result of the method the system is trading.. I only care if the system makes an error or goes nuts or anything ;)

Take it from me the traders who have been trading for 10+ years know this is a BIG IMPORTANT step and are very interested in how you go from here.

How robust do you think your software is? Has it made over 20 sim trades in one market in a day for instance without a mistake?

Yes it has. It has made over a hundred trades in a sim account in a single day without a mistake. Wrote a script that was working on 5 tick bars and trading moving average crossovers. Created a TON of trades. It of course lost a LOT Of money, but as far as the software went, it did not make a mistake.

I don't know if you are aware that Zero Line Trader has automated trading interface for IB. I have tried it and it worked without problems. We have done it when there was no IB paper trader account so we used Zero line in sim mode and Amibroker charting to generate trading signals on 1min ym and er2 charts. I abandoned the project after about two weeks of testing because I was not happy with my system performance but I may start testing auto trading soon again. I have a full time day job so it's hard for me to day trade on regular basis and automated trading would be a solution.
I wonder if anyone else has tried ZLR auto trading.

I have used ZLR now for quite some time and it is the best execution interface for the money. I have not used it to trade my signals from Ensign yet. I am still figuring out the best way to do that since Ensign is NOT a straight forward system execution platform.
