Good points, franT,good pic of TX TEA chart;
one year TX TEA is up trending, 1986,1987,88 thru now is up trending.NOT that its taken out $150/+ lately, LOL.200 day moving average is up, one year; 6 months is bearish. NO fib today, but several hours to close price..... MODERN TRADER magazine [JUNE] has an uptrend on 9 month chart; but IBD never used cup with handle buy on TX TEA.
Hi Murray. You bring up a very good point. CL is very complex and futile to chart long term, because the costs of rollover are a huge component of the price structure. The costs, logistics, and hassles of storing WTI make it an ideal medium for the "storage owners" (currently controlled by GS and JPM) to manipulate prices, and extort small producers and traders of this "marker" commodity. That's why I prefer to hourtrade, daytrade, and short term 3 days swing trade this particular product.
This trade ended. Sometimes the zebra escapes, but not without damage. Just an appetizer. (I think the zebra said something like: "I'll see you later alligator"):
It's time to get inside the river again. I trust a large zebra will put her neck in my mouth, else I'll have to grab something extra by the close at 16:15 . The current is going to get very fast as the river approaches the waterfall. I'll wait patiently at my meander spots. Be short, be out, or be gone!. Many zebras will be killed this week, more than can be eaten.
