You are delusional, Minnesota is quite a reasonable state. It's Alabama and several other states in the US South that have been a huge joke for around a century if not longer. Franken made a mistake and decided to resign. If all, US politicians had the head on his shoulders that he does and cared about the job as much as he does your nation would still be prospering instead of doing a slow decline on numerous fronts.

I don't have an opinion on whether he should have been pushed out, I don't look into these US scandals too closely there are too many of them. Moore on the other hand seems evil in nature and cannot be good for your country. Unless you enjoy all this bipartisan fighting and policies based on hatred of others that is hurting the moral fabric of your country.

Lets not shift this to something other than what it is, which is political maneuvering taken to an absurd and dangerous extreme. This move was made for political expediency trying to get in front of the Alabama vote next week. Franken was a chess piece sacrificed in the hope that Moore wins. Should Moore lose the short term gain is lost, but the left still calculates themselves to be in a stronger position in the "war on women fight" longer term with Franken gone. This political chess game is fine to play, but we have just seen the rule of law demolished to pull it off. The social media lynch mobs and the media in general should not be determining guilt and innocence. We're also seeing simple frat boy behavior being equated with actual sexual assault. This is akin to having someone launching a verbal assault being treated in the same way as some guy pulling a gun and shooting someone. We must have the conversation and make distinctions before just finding the rope and tree for everyone. A very dangerous precedent is being set, all for the sake of political gamesmenship.

If Franken had any balls, he wouldn't step down.

Well, it does look like he is setting himself up to be able to say "in recent days/weeks I have had an opportunity to speak face to face with the people of Minnesota and"...............you fill in the blank.

All cynicism aside, he should be doing that. The only reason that the dems are so high and mighty and willing to toss both franken and conyers out is because they know that they will still end out with a dem in their seats. If they had republican governors standing ready to appoint republicans, the dems would all be arguing that they owe to constituents to be out talking with them to see what they want before resigning.

Don't kid yourself, he is in fact preparing for a version of that, which is why he wants to buy a little more time. Except instead of the President he is going to argue "I will step down the same time you force Roy Moore out. Why should the good people of Minnesota and their votes count less than those of voters in Alabama....(insert more bullshit here)......" You can smell the gunpowder in the air on this already.
