This is how we do it now in America. Kangaroo court, trial by media, social media lynch mobs. I disagree with just about every political position that Sen. Franken holds, but he just got railroaded. Half his accusers are anonymous, some of the charges so frivolous as to defy common sense and logic. No due process, no presumption of innocence. Every single person in this country, men and women should be gripped with terror if this is how we're going to proceed.

If the government were run like a business Franken wouldn’t have lasted this long.
This is more of a problem for republicans. Last week there were threads on the forum about democrats being hypocrites for not removing their politicians, today there’s a thread about them removing their politicians.
The democrats will be better off having a zero tolerance attitude in the long run while the republicans are sending nudes on tinder to teenage girls.
Lets not shift this to something other than what it is, which is political maneuvering taken to an absurd and dangerous extreme. This move was made for political expediency trying to get in front of the Alabama vote next week. Franken was a chess piece sacrificed in the hope that Moore wins. Should Moore lose the short term gain is lost, but the left still calculates themselves to be in a stronger position in the "war on women fight" longer term with Franken gone. This political chess game is fine to play, but we have just seen the rule of law demolished to pull it off. The social media lynch mobs and the media in general should not be determining guilt and innocence. We're also seeing simple frat boy behavior being equated with actual sexual assault. This is akin to having someone launching a verbal assault being treated in the same way as some guy pulling a gun and shooting someone. We must have the conversation and make distinctions before just finding the rope and tree for everyone. A very dangerous precedent is being set, all for the sake of political gamesmenship.
And business is wrong too in jumping to conclusions just to appease the mob.
Sorry but its the other way round. Demtards thought they were going to have a field day with trumps behavior and roy moore's but a bomb went off in leftydom showing what a cesspool it is, and has been and they have been on the ropes gasping for air ever since.
You and Kirsten Gillibrand are hoping that this little commie purge to make it look like they have atoned for their sins will work but don't plan on it. The dems are not the party that looks out for women. It is the party that emotionally batters any woman who crosses the party.
And when you say that his type of thing would not have happened if the government were run like a business, do you think all that Hollywood crap happens in government or in the private sector? Indeed, most people liked Franken, he could call out BS better than almost anyone there. It is a skill few have the chops for.
I can tell you today private business is in serious cya mode on this stuff. The more this stuff is in the spot light, the bigger the liabilities. If Franken worked for me, he’d be out. You have to protect your business. Having a known harasser in your office is too much in this climate. You’d get killed in a law suit.
As to democrats being better off in the long run, I believe that. Taking a few scalps sets a good example. Republicans, on the other hand, are funding the some very shady pervs. It does work with Trump at the helm though.
