France can live without the parasites. Maybe they all leave, maybe they take all their money with them. The men and women who stay, the ones unafraid to get their hands dirty, can print enough money to make up the shortfall, and continue to go to work, growing, mining, distributing. They never make enough money to reach the 75% bracket, and the parasites never helped them with their work, anyway.

The âsoak the richâ rhetoric that has punctuated the presidential campaign has prompted a sharp rise in the numbers weighing a move across the Channel, according to London-based wealth managers, lawyers and property agents specialising in French clients.
Bernard Grinspan, managing partner of the Paris office of Gibson Dunn, an international law firm, says: âSome of our clients are very seriously discussing relocation â not only to London but also Singapore and New York. Thereâs a lot of uncertainty.â
