In france, people cannot be laid off so what happens is a company will try to torture employees so they can commit suicide. Employees do not quit because if they do it is impossible to get a new job since no one wants to hire anyone since it is impossible to get rid of them once they are employed.
In fact employees wish they would just get laid off in france.
