It was supposed to force millionaires to pay tax rates of up to 75 percent: "Cuba without the sun," as described by a critic from the banking industry. Socialist President Francois Hollande's super tax was rejected by a court, rewritten and ultimately netted just a sliver of its projected proceeds. It ends on Wednesday and will not be renewed.

Summary: France ends 75% tax on millionaires - after nearly all the high wealth individuals left France for other EU nations. That's some brilliant tax policy from Hollande and his socialists.
 
What? Why the usual libtard response is if something doesn't work, we need even more of it. In this case, 150% tax on high incomes! Why not go for it? And if that fails, 300% tax on high incomes! Surely that will work.

Meanwhile, how long before the victims return? Given the whole South Africa thing, I am thinking many victims will return right quick, then get slaughtered.
 
Im shocked that this tax failed, absolutely shocked.

We live in a world where everything is becoming more and more connected, and you can do business from anywhere in the world, and france didnt realise that the most mobile people with the most money would leave if you try to confiscate 75% of their income, just goes to show once again that the far left does not even live in the real world.

It was never implemented, and "nearly all the high wealth individuals left" is BS, it's not even true for high income individuals.
 
if they had only implemented pure communism it would have worked I tell ya.

the problem with every system is that many of its polticians are crooked power and money hungry sobs who will feather their own nest long before they do what is right for the people.

The system must be designed to work in spite of them... hence they should have as little power as possible.
