Fox News War on Journalism

The mafia is a business model.

No, just because something follows a business model doesn't exempt that entity from criticism, especially when the business model's intent is to deceive the public.

Quote from RCG Trader:

We were talking about FOX, not MSNBC. The point was that people should not complain about fox news. It is a business model, that is why I plus oned that post. Fox does a better job at tending it's sheep than msnbc. So much so that "the Ram" did not know Rupert Murdock was jewish.:D

As long we don't get fooled into thinking that Fox is anything more than a propaganda machine, it makes for good ol right wing fun!

And just to be "fair and balanced" the same can be said of MSNBC. :)

Higher ratings determine that something is news?

Quote from RCG Trader:

My post is broken into two parts, as evidenced by the use of a period.

Fox has higher ratings. This is a fact. Therefore, it is news.

The second part was prefaced by the words, I think. Ipso facto, it is opinion.

See how logic works?

Here is some unbiased reporting compliments of CNN, the ones the lefties love to hold up as the network in the centre.

Propaganda is a form of communication that is aimed at influencing the attitude of a community toward some cause or position so as to benefit oneself.

Fox News is, according to the definition above, a propaganda machine to benefit Fox News revenue stream.

Quote from Maverick74:

I'm going to have to stop you again. Both MSNBC and FOX offer daytime news and nighttime op ed. Everyone and their brother knows that primetime cable news channels cannot survive repeating what the nightly news at 6:30 eastern time reports. So the evening programming consists of op ed programs which score higher ratings. And again, I take offense to the word propaganda. Neither channel engages in propaganda. They report news during the day and op ed programs in the evening. Why is this so hard to understand. This has been the protocol for about 15 years now.

I do not disagree with that. For the record, I admire the mafia too. Or I should say that I do not judge them. Almost everyone has an agenda 777. It is fun to find out what it is, and to watch the wheels go round and round.

I said this earlier and ill say it again, Fox news does nothing different with their day time programming, then any of the other liberal networks. (NBC, MSNBC, CNN,CBS, ABC) Fox presents its stories from a conservative standpoint, and all the other ones present their arguments from a liberal standpoint. The main reason why lefties hate Fox so much is because they kick the shit out of all their networks in ratings, and plus lefties are upset because they lost their total dominance of the media which they had previously had for decades.

You admire organized crime.

Says a lot about you.

The fact that you make judgments says a lot about u as well 777.

Remember, this nation was founded by a bunch of "terrorists".

Tell me, what business, is not, de facto, organized crime?

I don't hate Fox, nor MSNBC. I just see it for what it is.
